Edward P. Waters, Deputy Inspector General

Ed Waters has been a life-long public servant, beginning employment with the State of Ohio in 1976. He became a trooper for the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 1979, retiring in 2003. During the last 14 years of his career, he served as an Assistant Post Commander, as well as Assistant Commander of the Division's Administrative Investigations Unit. Mr. Waters has completed numerous courses concerning investigative and interviewing techniques. He has attended Sinclair Community College, Franklin University, and the Police Executive Leadership College. He is a member of the Ohio Investigators Association, is active in his community, and is an Ohio high school athletic official.
