Jean MontgomeryJean Montgomery has worked in the social work field for twenty-five years and has been employed at Montgomery County Children Services for the past twelve years. She serves as Chair of the agency’s Diversity Awareness Committee and has been actively involved with the committee since 2001. As part of her other duties at the agency, Jean is currently working on a research project to attempt to determine causal factors for the disproportionate number of African American children in foster care in Montgomery County. Jean is also a member of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Statewide Diversity Committee.As a recovering addict/alcoholic, she has been actively involved in the gay and lesbian sober support community for over seventeen years. Ms. Montgomery received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Work from Wright State University in 1980. She and her partner, Cathy, live in Xenia and enjoy spending time with their children and grandson. |
