Rhine McLin

Rhine McLin was sworn in as Dayton’s 67th Mayor on January 7, 2002.  She became Dayton’s first female mayor.  Mayor McLin is working diligently to improve the neighborhoods, create a safer and cleaner community, create more jobs for residents, provide greater care for senior citizens, and promote quality education for all children.  Prior to becoming Mayor, Rhine McLin served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1988 to 1994, and was then elected State Senator in 1994.  While in the Senate, she was elected to serve in leadership as Minority Whip in 1998, and was elected as Minority Leader in 2000.  Rhine McLin is also a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for McLin Funeral Home.
