| Ann Penn is currently serving as the Director of Affirmative Action at Kent State University. She was previously the Director of Equal Opportunity and Diversity at Case Western Reserve University and also worked as an EEO Compliance Investigator with the Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and as a Personnel Specialist for the City of Cleveland.
Ms Penn has worked in the field of Human Resources for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Myers University, a Masters degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University and holds a Diversity Management Certificate from Cleveland State University and NTL Institute for Behavioral Sciences.
As Director of Affirmative Action, she is responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation and coordination of all equal opportunity and affirmative action programs. The programs cover minorities, women, individuals with disabilities and veterans. She has experience in complaint investigation and resolution, compliance audits, diversity training, sexual harassment training and ADA/FMLA compliance.
Ms. Penn has served as consultant to other organizations providing affirmative action and equal opportunity planning and training, diversity training, sexual harassment training and has also lectured on a variety of human resource and affirmative action/EEO topics.
Ms. Penn’s professional affiliations include: Current Chair of the Cleveland Employers Equal Opportunity Association(CEEOA), member of the American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA) and Region V State Coordinator, member of the College and University Personnel Association (CUPA), and the National Association of Human Rights Workers (NAHRW). She is on the African American Advisory Board of the University Memory and Aging Center and a longtime volunteer with Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. |
