Mr.
Charles H. King is an Equal Employment Opportunity Officer for
the Ohio Department of Administrative Services Equal Opportunity
Division.
His responsibilities include compliance reviews of all state
agencies EEO strategic plans and ensuring those plans are in
compliance by interviewing agency employees. He also assists
with the discrimination complaint process for state agencies,
as well as assisting with training in the areas of Sexual Harassment
and Cultural Diversity.
Mr. King is a former United States Marine. He formally retired
as a Gunnery Sergeant in April of 2000 after serving almost
twenty-one years. During his career with the Marine Corps, Mr.
King served as the Employment Enforcement Officer for his Regiment.
He was also a Marine Corps Recruiter with two successful tours
here in Ohio. Mr. King has also been afforded the opportunity
to travel around the world three times and is a veteran of the
Gulf War. Of the many awards he has received, he has been the
recipient of two Navy Achievement Medals.
Mr. King is married and has three children. In his spare time
he enjoys playing basketball.
