Dayton Area Asian American

Community Conversations

(Flyer of the Event Held on 1/24/2009)

The Asian American Council of Greater Dayton sponsored a community conversation about current issues that affect our local Asian American communities. Anyone interested in Asian American Issues was invited with a free lunch, followed by cozy conversations about:

Strengthening Asian American Communities through Advocacy
Health & Social Disparities in Asian American Communities
Preserving Our Heritage - Asian Cultural Festival
Impact of Immigration Reform in Asian American Communities

This community conversations werre organized by Jenny Couse, Dayton Regional Coordinator of the Health Through Action (HTA) Project. HTA and the local conversation are funded by a Kellogg Foundation grant to the Ohio Asian American Health Coalition (Michael Byun, Chair). The program began with lunch at Noon and continues to 4:00 pm. at the Millet Hall Atrium, 1st Floor, Wright State University. This Community Conversations are the first step of its kind by the Asian American Council, which is moving to a higher level in fulfilling our mission and achieving our goals.
