This OMC is for upper elementary, middle and high school students in grades 4 through 11
(the 4th & 5th graders was newly added last year.) It will be
organized by the
Dayton Branch and Ohio Chapter of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association,
hosted by the
Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Wright State University, sponsored by the
College of Science of Mathematics, WSU, Asian
American Council in Dayton and the Ohio-SW Chapter of the Society of Hispanic
Professional Engineers; and supported by Asian, Hispanic, and Native American
community organizations in the Ohio Valley area.
The purpose of the contest is
to stimulate interest in mathematics among upper elementary, middle and high school students and
to recognize those who exhibit exceptional talent. The sponsors ask teachers
and parents to strongly encourage their students in grades 4 through 11 to enter
this Contest.
