New Feature This Year:
We expand the contest to include the fourth and fifth graders!

The 2010 Ohio Mathematics Contest will be held on the Saturday at Wright State University.  The contest is for upper elementary, middle and high school students in grades 4 through 11 (the 4th & 5th graders are newly added this year.)   It is sponsored by the Dayton Branch and Ohio Chapter of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Wright State University, the Asian American Council, Dayton Ohio and the Ohio-SW Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers; and supported by Asian, Hispanic, and Native American community organizations in the Ohio Valley area.
The purpose of the contest is to stimulate interest in mathematics among upper elementary, middle and high school students and to recognize those who exhibit exceptional talent.  The sponsors ask teachers and parents to strongly encourage their students in grades 4 through 11 to enter this Contest.

Time: 1:30 5:30 p.m.*
Location: Wright State University
Application Deadline: April 17, 2010 (Application form in Word & PDF)
Fee: $15 per student ($20 onsite)
   
Eligibility: All students enrolled in grades 4 through 11 (Separate competition and prizes awarded for each grade level)

*Remarks 
  • Check-in begins 1:30 p.m., ends 1:50 p.m.; exam for 2-3:30 p.m.; exam grading for 3:30-4:30 p.m.; award ceremony for 4:30-5:30 p.m. The whole event would end around 5:30 pm.
  • There will be programs for parents during the exam and grading, and for students during the grading.
  • Cash awards will be given to top students in each grade.
