Numbers of Asian Americans Near Dayton
Counted in the 1990 Census

Over 9,000 individuals residing in the Miami Valley reported as Asian identity in the 1990 Census.  In order to be counted, individuals must have written in their group identity.  Therefore, the 1990 Census figures are probably serious underestimates of the local Asian and Pacific Islander population.
