Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration
March and Rally

AAC-Dayton encourages all members to join the march and rally at the Courthouse Square in Dayton downtown celebrating Martin L. King Jr. Birthday .

The Dayton Area Korean Association (DAKA) is hosting a reception near the starting location between 9:15 and 10:00 a.m. at the Fashion Club store in Westown Shopping Center, where coffee and a restroom facility will be available (see the map).  As traffic to the shopping center is to be closed at 9:30 a.m., it will probably be best to arrive before this time. The march will conclude with a rally at the Courthouse Plaza at 11:30 a.m. Immediately following the march, the Mandarin Kitchen (located across the street from the Courthouse Plaza, see the map) will provide a free lunch to participants belonging to Asian American Council organizations who join with DAKA.

There should be enough time for March participants to attend Frank Wu's talk at the UD Law School at 1:30 p.m. He will also be signing books there between 2:15 and 3:00 p.m. (See the flyer.)

Let us show our support of Martin Luther King's vision of a truly inclusive American society.
